Mary was born in 1903. She was the twin sister of Helen Virginia Rose. She passed away in 1976.
Benjamin Lawton Gardiner and Mary Louise Rose were married in Winchester, New Hampshire on 10 April 1920.[1]
Mary was not old enough to marry without consent in Rhode Island, but was old enough in New Hampshire. This record incorrectly identifies Benjamin's last name as Gardenis and also incorrectly reports that Mary's mother was Helen V. Rose. This Helen V. Rose was her paternal grandmother who raised Mary and Mary's twin sister who was also named Helen Virginia Rose.
Benjamin and Mary separated when their daughters were very young, probably between 1926 and 1928. They were divorced on 18 September 1933.[3]
