Thomas Manley Rose was born in Moose River, New York on 19 June 1877 to John J. Rose and Mary Bromley. He was the 2nd of 6 children. Thomas married Mary E. Plunkett on 25 April 1901 in Gouveneur, New York.[1] They had 3 children:
Thomas died on 14 October 1968 in Yonkers, New York.[2]
Thomas M. Rose, 91, of 125 Orient St., a resident of Yonkers for 59 years, died yesterday in St. Joseph's Hospital after an extended illness.
Born at Moose River in the Adirondack section of New York, he was the son of John J. and Mary Bromley Rose. He. attended schools in upstate New York and married the former Mary E. Plunkett in Gouverneur, N.Y. Mr. and Mrs. Rose celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary April 25.
Mr. Rose was a foreman for construction concerns here before his retirement in 1931 and previously owned a transportation business in Big Moose, N.Y.
He was a member of the Odd Fellows Forestport Lodge No. 851 and the Carpenters and Joiners Union Local 188.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Charles B. (Ruth R.) Hall of Asbury Park, N. J.; Mrs. Maurice D. (Marion R.) O'Keefe of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Miss Helen G. Rose of the home address; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.[3]
