John was married twice. First wife is unknown. First wife he had Abram, Sarah, Catharine, Jacob J. George, and Adam. Second wife Barbara Seese he had the following children: David, Joseph, John, Franklin, Eve, Elizabeth, Issac, Noah, Jeremiah, and Ananias. Married 1826 Somerset Co PA to Barbara

It is now in question to as if he is actually laid to rest in Wesley Chapel Cemetery Mundys Corner, Cambria County, Pennsylvania after all. The records at this cemetery have not been kept up and they can not confirm or deny that he is actually laid to rest there or not. And no obit can be found. So right now with the permission of FAG I am taking him out of this cemetery and putting him in unknown status until proof can be presented. I have several people looking into this matter and helping me out with it. Thank you

A Deed is recorded on April 15, 1858 for Cambria County, Pennsylvania John Rose of Jackson Township, and Barbara his wife to Tobias Lehman of Richland Township, for $1600, land in Richland Township, line of Daniel Bomgardner, 145 acres and 78 perches. From the records of Brian Cartwright Western Pennsylvania First Families recordings: Probate: Cambria County, Pennsylvania The estate of John Rose was filed in Cambria County, Pennsylvania (No. 2032), and residing him in Jackson Township. In a distribution (date not taken by this compiler, but sent as 6 Sept. 1875) the following heirs and legal representatives were listed: Barbara Rose, widow Sarah, intermarried with Solomon Helsel Catharine, intermarried with Philip Murphy Jacob Rose the children of George Rose, now dec'd., viz, Mary Jane Rose, Sarah Ann Rose, both of age 21, and Katie Ann Rose, who has for her guardian Jacob Holtzapple. Adam Rose the children of David Rose, who have for their guardian James Costlow Joseph Rose Franklin Rose Eve, now intermarried with Uriah Imler(?) Elizabeth Rhoads, widow Noah Rose Annanias Rose an all 12 distributive shares Appraisement was dated 7 May 1873, and sale in the estate was dated 20 May 1873, and totaled $341.84. In a petition dated 30 August 1882 of P.F. Custer to pay heirs, he states in 1876 he filed account, and by some mistake, the name of Abraham Rose one of the heirs was not mentioned; said Abraham Rose is now dead and leaves a widow and five children, Moses, Aaron, Mary now intermarried with Cyrus Horner, Adam and Abraham Rose. In a document P.F. Custer as administrator of John Rose deceased was summoned to appear and show cause why a sum should not paid to heirs of Abraham Rose deceased, dated September 4, 1882.
