Biography

Mary Blanche Rose was born on 20 Feb. 1896 at West Virginia, USA. She appeared on the census of 9 June 1900 in the household of her parents, Arthur Wellington Rose and Mary Jane Luthia Clower at 25 Rail Road Ave., Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia.[1]

She married (--?--) French in 1914.[2][3]

She was a stenographer at a coal company when she appeared on the census of 2 Jan. 1920 in the household of her parents at Beaver Pond, Bluefield.[2] She appeared on the census of 2 April 1930 in the household of her parents at Bluefield.[3] She was a stenographer at a coal selling agency when she appeared on the census of 11 April 1940 in the household of her mother at Bluefield, Mercer County, West Virginia.[4]

She married (--?--) Showalter after 1940.

She died on 18 May 1997 at Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 101 and was buried in May 1997 at Monte Vista Cemetery, Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia. Her memorial has photos of headstones and links to those of her parents.[5]
