Biography
Rose was the wife of Robert Dunbar of Hingham, Massachusetts, who survived him as his widow. Her last name is not known. In his will, dated 13 September 1693, he gave to wife Rose "a living in my now dwelling-house, and the use of all the land, which I give to my sons Joseph and Joshua, the whole term of her keeping the name of Dunbar; and in case of necessity she may sell or let said land for her maintenance." She is assumed to be the mother of his children, all of whom were born in Hingham, Massachsetts:[1]

- Robert, born Nov. 1, 1666, died soon.

- Saram (birth not recorded), married Jan. 18, 1695-96, to Benjamin Garnet
