Nova Tessie was born in 1931. She is the daughter of Benjamin Harrison Rose and Gracie Vanover. She passed away in 2014. Buried in the Gilmore Cemetery in Minersville, Meigs County, Ohio. [1]
Another fact that was unknown until the death of our father. Our mother Tessie Evans was told by her much older sibling that her first name was Nova but she went by her middle name Tessie. Our mother always thought her first name was Nova and used that name her entire life for legal documents. When our father passed away at the age of 48 mom ordered a copy of his death certificate and also needed her birth certificate to receive his benefits. Upon receiving a copy of her actual recorded birth her name was Tessie Rose without a middle name. However all legal documents had her name as Nova Tessie so she continued to use that the rest of her life.
