Edwin died on Feb. 11, 1954 at Gosford, New South Wales[2] and was cremated. (Information needed on disposition of ashes.)

MR. E. E. ROSE
The death occurred on February 11, at Gosford, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Eric Boyce, of Edwin Ebe Rose. Aged 89, Mr. Rose resided at Kempsey for 34 years, and left here about 14 months ago, to live at Gosford. He had not enjoyed the best of health for some time. The late Mr. Rose was a line inspector with the P.M.G. department, a position he resigned from twenty years ago. Deceased was held in high esteem, and respected by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Emma, and the daughters are Mrs. Florence Paton, Mrs. Dorothy Boyce, Mrs, Eileen Gamack and Mrs. Gwen MacGregor. The sons are Fred, of Balmain, " and Herb, of Lismore. After a service at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, the funeral moved to the Northern Suburbs crematorium on February 13.
