Good morning, I am a "newbe" and struggling to learn about this site so I can overcome errors in my first venture with Ancestry. Meanwhile, noticed that you had made a start reference to Marvin Luther Johnson, my father, and wondered why. Incidentally I show no DNA connections to anyone as yet on this site although Ancestry shows many connections. I assume this is just a matter of process and will show up later. I left the living people out of my public tree as I usually do; however, I see you and others have not. Any advice on this point? Many thanks.
Hi Gregory! I see you proposed a merge of Winters-1501 and Winters-681. I agree the two profiles are of the same person. I am an ancestor to Moses Winters, my profile is Winters-1501. The problem I have is that 681's sources are not traceable unless you pay Ancestry's fees. I have made it a point to source my profiles with freely traceable references for a free WikiTree. I think that's only right since WikiTree is supposed to be free. I believe our genealogy should be free to everyone. I've expressed this before and then someone comes along and merges the profiles in question anyway. I wish someone would agree to keep WikiTree free... Robert Green
I see you manage the Charles Treat page. My father Joseph McCormick (b. 1933, d 2012, Westfield, MA) was adopted and we are seeking to confirm his surname and paternal line. My YDNA shows many matches at the 37 marker level with TROTTs who emigrated from England to US in mid 1800's. I believe I am related to Richard TREAT (b. TROTT changed name on emigration) who arrived in America in 1637 and settled in Wethersfield, CT area. We are seeking TREATs from the CT line who have YDNA tested.

Hello Greg. I see that you had worked on Anna Spiedel Boss. I have been trying to figure out HOW I connect to the surname Rose. My paternal side is in VA, NC & SC, so it could be there. I haven't wondered over my Speidel line in a while. After seeing your name there, maybe your line is it? LOL Could I Please look at your tree? TY!
