Some sources give Sarah Rose's birthdate as 08 JUL 1838 and says that she was a twin of her brother Henry Rose. Her death certificate lists 18 JUL 1835 and the 1900 Federal Census gives OCT 1838. Her brother Henry Rose's death certificate lists 05 JUL 1838 as his birthdate. Census records also indicate that Henry was a couple of years younger than Sarah. The 1850 and 1880 census support the 1835 date. So it seems that her death certificate is most likely to contain the correct date.[1]
