Biography

Reddick Rose was born in North Carolina during the American Revolution. His father was Burrell Rose. The winter of Reddick's birth George Washington was spending a desperate winter at Valley Forge. Edgecombe County was divided in 1777 and Nash County was formed from the northern half.

Reddick married Nancy Manning in 1799 and they had three children 1) William R b. 1800 2) Temperance Rose b. 1801 3) Richard Michael Rose b. 1802

Nancy is the daughter of Richard Manning.
