Biography

Hiram Baldwin Rose, the son of aThomas Rose and Elizabeth Carr, was born May 26, 1852 in Gallatin, Kentucky. He married and divorced Margaret Cooper (Racey) Wilson of Brant County, Ontario, Canada. They had one son, John Walters Rose (1893-). He was a fruit orchardist and died in Paonia, Delta County, Colorado on November 17, 1938. He is buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery[1] Paonia, Delta County, Colorado

Died Permanent injury from fall; 86 years, 6 months, 2 days. 27 NOV 1938. Paonia, Delta, Colorado, USA. Note: Attending physician, Dr. Haley. Fee of 0 charged to Old Age Pension and paid for by County Clerk. Order was given by Well Fair [sic] Office.[2][3]

Note: "Mr. Rose suffered permanent injury in a fall. Altho [sic] he had been in feeble health several months, he was confined to his bed only a few days. He passed away Sunday evening, Nov. 27, 1938, at the age of 86 years, six months, and two days. Information concerning his life is incomplete, but it is understood he leaves one son, John B (?) Rose, whose home at last report was in San Jose, California."[citation needed]
