Samuel was born about 1766. He is the son of Joseph Rosebush.

Waldo E. Rosebush notes that he married twice.

  • To Huldah Bettys in 1789 in Ballston, NY: they had issue Anny Gruber Rosier, George, Charles and John.
  • Huldah Clark circa 1808 in Hastings County, Upper Canada: they had issue Fanny, Deborah, Catherine, and Hulda Armenia.

He served in the 1st Regiment of the Hastings County Militia during the War of 1812. For his service, he was granted land.[1]
