Biography

George Frederic Rosenberg was born on 9 March 1825 in Bath, Somerset, England.^[1] He was the youngest son of notable painter Thomas Elliot Rosenberg (1790 - 1835) and a brother of artist Charles G. Rosenberg (1818 - 1879).^[2]

He is best known for his paintings of landscapes and flowers. He published "The Guide to Flower Painting in Water-Colours" in 1853.

On 8 July 1857, he married Hannah Fuller Jenner.^[3][4] Their three children are:

• Ethel Jenner Rosenberg - (1858 - 1930)
• Gertrude Mary Rosenberg - (1868 - 1912)
• George Frederick Jenner Rosenberg - (1870 - 1940)

He died on 17 Nov 1869.^[5]
