Benjamin Rosenberg has Jewish Roots.

Benjamin was born in January 1861. Per the 1900 census he was born in Russia (then the Russian Empire).[1] His proclaimed year of immigration was 1880, while his wife listed 1882.[1] Her birthplace was listed as Germany.[1] They had moved from New York to Philidelphia, Pennsylvania.[1]

He had 7 children, in 1900, four of the children were living and three of them were deceased. The older children were born in New York and the youngest in Pennsylvania.[1]

Ten years later they were still living in Philadelphia. This census listed Benjamin and his wife and their parents as having been born in Russ, Yiddish. This most likely a reference to their ethnicity and religion.[2]

Benjamin died on 9 Dec. 1919 in Cumberland County, New Jersey.[3]
