Biography

1895: Alvin was born on 26 Feb 1895 in Montgomery, Pennsylvania, United States. His parents were Amos R Rosenberger and Jennie Rosenberger.^[1]

1900 : He is living in Whitpain Township, Montgomery, Pennsylvania, United States with his father, A. R. Rosenberger, mother Jennie Rosenberger, and older brother, Wilmer Rosenberger.^[2]

1910 : the 1910 census shows him living in Mullica, Atlantic, New Jersey, United States in the household of his father, Amos R. Rosenberger, with his mother, Sarah Jane Rosenberger, and brother Wilber Rosenberger. ^[3]

1922 : He married Edwina Alma Norman on 22 Dec 1922 in Orleans, Louisiana, United States. she was the daughter of Richard Norman and Alma Vienne.^[4]

1930 Census shows him, age 35, living in Caroline, Maryland, United States, with his wife Edwina, 28, two children, Alvin Rosenberger, 6, born in Pennsylvania, and Richard Rosenberger, 5, born in Louisiana. Also present is a brother, Wilmer Rosenberger, 45.^[5]

1940 : The 1940 census shows him, age 45, living as a lodger in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His marital status is recorded as single.^[6]

1942 : Alvin L. Rosenberger married Katherine Lamphere on 15 Aug 1942 in Colchester, Chittenden, Vermont, United States. He was the son of Amos R Rosenberger and Sarah Jane Leister, she the daughter of William Lamphere and Ruby Chase. At the time of marriage he was 47 and she was 18.^[7]
