Mary Elizabeth Rosenberger was born on June 22, 1864 in Cambridge, Massachusetts,[1][2] the only daughter of Joseph Rosenberger and Jane (O'Brine) Rosenberger.[3][4][5]

Mary married James Francis Hennessey on June 4, 1884 in Cambridge, Massachusetts at 19 years old.[6] They had 9 sons and 1 daughter.[7][8][9] She and her family moved many times[7], but always lived in the Boston, Massachusetts area.

Mary kept a journal about her children, her life and other information about her family.[10]

Three of Mary and James' sons died very young, three of whom are buried in the same plot at Catholic Mount Auburn Cemetery in Watertown, Massachusetts.[7][11]

Mary died on May 24, 1913 in Cambridge, Massachusetts at 48 years old.[12] She is buried at Saint Paul's Cemetery in Arlington, Massachusetts.
