Nena E. Mayers, 95, formerly of Littlestown, died Sunday, Nov. 15, at the home of her daughter Margaret von Hagel of Catonsville, Md., where she lived for 13 years. She was the wife of the late Clarence E. Mayers, who died June 17, 1972. Born in Frederick County, Md., she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Alice Harp Roser. She graduated from Westminster High School class of 1915, then called Maryland State Normal School in Towson, Md. She taught elementary school in Carroll County, Md., and in Pennsylvania. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Littlestown, the Friendship Circle Sunday school class, the Littlestown Senior Citizens and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Littlestown American Legion Post. She is survived by two children, Paul C. Mayers of Littlestown and Margaret von Hagel of Catonsville, Md.: six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Littles Funeral Home, with the Rev. Clifton Suehr officiating. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Littlestown. Friends may call at Littles Funeral Home on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 53 W. King St., Littlestown, Pa. 17340.
