Elizabeth Ross was probably born in London around 1814. According to her death certificate her father was a clothier, and she came to Australia about 1835.[1] It is recorded in her 2nd marriage documents that she came free.
Elizabeth married painter Charles Augustus Williams at St. Phillips Church of England, Sydney, on 11 April 1836.[2][3] He died in November of that same year when he fell from a scaffold while painting a house. She gave birth to Elizabeth Caroline Williams in 1837.
Elizabeth Williams and convict James Davis received permission to marry in September 1838,
[4][5] and married by banns at Bathurst (Kelso) on the 23rd October.[6]
Elizabeth died at home in Back Forest, near the Shoalhaven River, 3 November 1878.[1][7]
