Hubert was born in 1854. He is the son of Jean Baptiste Ross and Adèle Cyr.

At the age of 15, Albert was working in Cotton Mill (US Census, 1870).

At the age of 26, Albert W and his wife Matilda (age 22) were working in Cotton Mill (US Census, 1880). They had a son William, age 3.
