(1943). PERSONAL. Mrs. V. M. Ross, who spent her girlhood on the goldfields, is visiting her aunt, Nurse Ballinswella, at present. Mrs. Ross has spent the past 20 years in Java, where, six weeks prior to the island falling into the hands of the Japanese, her husband was appointed by the foreign office, vice-consul of Tjila-jap, the then only open port for Java.
