Hugh was born about 1750 in Scotland. He and his wife Jennet came to Barnet, Vermont after the Revolutionary War. They lived near Warden Pond in 1790 and 1800 but then moved to Canada (1).
Hugh died in Southwold, Elgin, Ontario, Canada, in 1817. Date and place of death are supported by "Thru Lines" to Hugh Ross and DNA matches.
