Marriage of parents is stated as 1780 in South Carolina, but source states 1753, which would not be accurate, if mother was born in 1749. If child was born in 1777 in Scotland, they would not have been married in South Carolina in 1780 probably.
This profile may be a duplicate / conflation with John Ross (abt.1782-bef.1847) who has same spouse, but one is born in South Carolina, and one is born in Scotland. Parents are different between profiles.
