Nathaniel Ross was born about 1691, probably in Elizabethtown, N.J. He was mentioned, 1717 in the estate of his uncle, George Ross. He was a weaver by profession. He married Jane Price, daughter of Ephraim Price and widow of Joseph Whitehead. Jane had by Joseph Whitehead, a daughter, Jane, born 5/11/1713. Nathaniel and Jane Ross, with his brother, Joseph and his wife, Elizabeth, deeded land 11/5/1724 to Joseph Hatfield. On 3/8/1725/6 Nathaniel Ross, weaver, gave Bond to James Crieghton, a barber of New York. George Price gave Nathaniel Ross a receipt dated 5/3/1730 for a coffin for his "cusen" James Ross, deceased. Nathaniel is mentioned 12/19/1732 as desceased in the will of George Jewell. Jane is mentioned as the widow of Nathaniel Ross in the will of her father, Ephraim Price dated 1737.
Children: Nathaniel b. 4-27-1721 James b. 2-21-172?. His wife is named Rebecca. He died 1-27-1752 and is buried at the First Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth. They had a son, James, who died 12/31/1769 at 19 and is buried next to his father. Joanna b. 11-25-172? Daniel b. 172?, d 174?
