Biography

Walter (Ross) Ross VIIIth of Balnagowan is a member of Clan Ross.

Walter Ross was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles.

Walter was the son of Sir David Ross, 7th Laird of Balnagown and Helen Keith was born circa 1491 at of Balnagown, Ross, Scotland. ^[1][2][3]

He married Marian (Marjorie) Grant, daughter of John Grant, 2nd Lord Freuchie and Margaret Ogilvy, circa 1510.^[1][2][3] They had issue:

1. Alexander, 9th Laird of Balnagowan b. c 1516, d. 25 Oct 1592^[1][2][3]
2. Hugh^[1][2][3]
3. Janet, b. c 1514, d. 1565,^[1] m. Hugh Fraser, Lord Lovat^[2][4]
4. Katherine, m. John Denune, third of Cadboll^[1][2]

Walter died on 12 May 1528 at Tain, Ross and Comarty, Scotland;^[1]
