Lois was born on November 6, 1911 in Snyder, Scurry County, Texas to parents Ernest and Maude Rosser. Her father was an attorney and served in the Texas State Legislature. Lois graduated from Hardin-Simmons University of Abilene, Texas in 1934. She was an elementary teacher in the Abilene, Texas and Albuquerque, New Mexico Public School Systems. She married Ira Ribble following the 1940 US Census and the couple moved to New Mexico settling in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County. They had one child together;
Lois retired from the Monte Vista Grade School in Albuquerque in 1963.
Lois died on June 2, 1991 in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico following a long battle with cancer at the age of 79 years. She was buried at the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery located in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico.
