Biography

Mary was born in 1744. She was the daughter of John Rosser and Elizabeth Leftwich. She passed away after 1781.

25 Feb 1775, Brunswick Co., VA - The will of John Rosser names "my daughter Mary Davis." [1]

22 May 1780, Brunswick Co., VA - "Eads Smith and Mary Davis, May 22, 1780. (She consents in writing.)" [2]

1 Sep 1781, Greensville Co., VA - The will of "Ead" Smith says, “I give to my beloved wife Mary Smith the negroes she is entitled to as relict of William Davis deceased...” [3]

Davis-106396 and Rosser-814 appear to represent the same person because: Mary was the widow of William Davis when she married Edes/Eade, etc., Smith.
