Biography
Modeste Rossignol was born on 17 Aug 1802 and was baptized the next day on Saint-André parish in Kamouraska, Bas-Canada. She was the daughter of Julien Rossignol, farmer, and Marie Susanne Boucher. Sponsors at Modeste's baptism were Jean Baptiste Vielle and Victoire Boucher; neither signed the register. At age 25 Modeste married Michel Paradis on 21 Apr 1828 in Saint-Patrice parish in Rivière-du-Loup. There were five known children born into this marriage. She passed away in 1867.
