The date given of 27 Mar 1831 is her documented Christening date, which is the same documented christening date for a brother, Ambrose. I have to believe that they are twins. Maria was 17 and about 8 months pregnant when she & John Court Taylor were married on December 28, 1848. Son, John Jr. was born February 4, 1849.
Her husband, John Court Taylor, remarried and moved to Michigan.
The New York state census of June 17 1865, shows John, already married to Hannah (Star) Weeks.
(After further research, twins appears to run in the family.)
