Biography

Mabel M. Rote was born on April 1, 1886, in Ohio, the child of Alpheus McClelland Rote and Ella E Ward. At the time of her birth, her father was 21-years-old and her mother was 25. She was the oldest of six living children, one sibling having died as a child sometime before June 1900. Her youngest sister, Minnie, also died as a child, sometime before June 1910.

Mabel Rote married John Henry (or Henry John) Faller on May 13, 1912. The couple had two children:

• Henry John Faller, date and place of birth unknown, but estimated as sometime around 1915. Based on the 1920 census and 1930 census data, he appears to be about a year, or maybe a bit less, older than his sister.
• Ella L. Faller, born 18 Sep 1915 in Pennsylvania.

Mabel died in childbirth^[1] in early January, 1919; she was 32 years of age. Her funeral was held January 10, 1919, and she was buried in Greenwood Cemetery on the 13th.

After her death, her children lived with her parents. Her husband died March 23, 1963.
