Oskar, son of Moses Rotschild and Recha Emrich, was born 22 September 1917 in Hemelingen, Bremen, Germany. [1]
Oscar was imprisoned in camp Westerbork, Drenthe, Netherlands and deported to Auschwitz, Poland in 1942. On 11 April 1945 he was liberated from camp Buchenwald, Germany, which he had been imprisoned since 10 February 1945. He had arrived there after a death march from one of the Groß-Rosen camps. After his liberation he was transported to a hospital in Eindhoven, North Brabant, Netherlands where he died soon after, likely from his hardships during the war.
