Biography

Caliste Rougeau was born 22 Jul 1793 and baptized 4 May 1794 at Opelousas.[1] Caliste Rougeau married Marie Louise Pitre on 14 January 1818 at Opelousas, Saint Landry Parish, Louisiana.[2] [3]

He married a second time on 10 Dec 1822, to Catherine McDaniel.[4]

In the 1850 census he was living in Rapides Parish, Louisiana and the household included: C Rougeau, age 57 born Louisiana; Kitty Rougeau, age 51 born Louisiana; John Powell age 12 born Louisiana. [5]
