Biography

Euphemie Rougeau, daughter of Jean Baptiste Rougeau and Elizabeth Lede, was born on 12 Jan. 1798 and baptized on 27 May 1798, her birth and baptism were recorded at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[1]

She married Paulin Fontenot, son of Philippe Fontenot and Francoise Berzat, on 27 Oct. 1818, their marriage was recorded at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[2]

Euphemie died before 3 May 1825 when Paulin married Elizabeth Gurnett.[3] Her succession was dated Dec. 1829 in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. [4]
