Mrs. Hutto was a daughter of the late Ben A., Sr. and Dora B. Rountree. Mrs. Hutto was preceded in death by her husband, of 49 years, Everette M. Hutto; a daughter, Carol H. Scurry and brothers, Ben A. Rountree, Jr. and Quincy J. Rountree.
She was one of the last graduating classes of Dunbarton High School where she played on a winning basketball team that played in the state playoffs. After high school, she attended Lander College. Most of her life has centered around her church family and church work with various teacher and leadership capacities in the church.
Mrs. Hutto is survived by her son, James E. (Jo Lanell) Hutto; daughter, Mary (Charlie) Brammer and three grandsons, James B. (Kristin) Hutto, Joseph E. (Rachel) Hutto and Charles K. Brammer, Jr.; four great grandsons; sisters, Margaret H. Rountree and Teeny (Billy) Givens, also special care takers, Brenda Sherrill, Hassie Burroughs and Rebecca Armstrong.
