Virginia was born1879 most likely in Fort Worth Texas since her parents John Rountree and Louisa Williams were living there at that time. Sometime around 1894 she moved with her parents to Temple Texas were she met and married E.B. Crawford. Both her father and husband were railroad men. In 1909 she was widowed when her husband was killed in a train accident. She remarried but passed away suddenly in 1913. She is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Smithville, Bastrop County, Texas.
