Biography
Noah was the son of Noah Rouse and Mary Harper. After attending the University of North Carolina (graduating in 1881), he later attended the University of North Carolina Law School. In August 1883 he was admitted to the bar and began practicing law at Kinston. He ultimately became a corporate lawyer. At various times, he was the president of the Rouse Banking Company of La Grange, North Carolina and the Citizens Bank of Kinston. .[1]
Noah married on 15 Oct 1889 to Mattie Holland Rountree. They had sons Robert Harper and Charles Francis.[2]
