Biography

When Benjamin F Rouse was born on October 10, 1858, his father, Joel, was 44 and his mother, Mary, was 27. He was a farmer who married three times and had two sons. He died on February 14, 1947, in Jasper, Indiana, at the age of 88, and was buried in Lowell, Indiana.

He married first (1) Mary A. Long on 15 Sep 1880 at Rockville who was born 1861 Indiana and died 29 April 1881, was buried in Van Meter Cemetery, Kankakee, IL . He then married (2) Ida May Rainford on 08 Nov 1883 • Kankakee, Illinois, USA. They lived in Gillam, Jasper, Indiana till about 1917 when they moved to Hammond, Lake Indiana. Their two sons were:

Ida died in 1924. He then married (3) Nancy Hayhurst (1858–1943) sometime before the 1930 US Census. She died in 1943 and he survived her till 1947.
