Bates appears in the Muster Rolls of Jackson County for the Georgia 18th Infantry as follows - possible same - Bates, J. C. -- Private - May 1, 1864. Absent without leave January 30, 1865. No later record for muster roll; Three "Rouse" names appear in the volunteer Georgia 18th Infantry from Jackson County, Georgia in 1861. Only one E. Rouse shown. Rouse, E. -- Private - April 30, 186l. Died of enteritis in Chimborazo Hospital #5, at Richmond, Virginia, May 16, 1862.; May be more complete info than the Collisville route; No additional info found.
