1830's." According to my best estimate the original organization of the Methodist Church in this community [Wesley Chapel Church] took place somewhere around the 1830s. I am basing this estimate on Uncle Tom's age at the time I heard him tell of his work on the original church. Others of this generation were Rev Lockey Lancaster and Sally, his wife, who was the grandmother of the late Aus Ellis of Peach Grove, my grandparents, Mike J and Amanda Rouse, George Daniel, brother of my grandmother, Amanda and Josiah Baynum." 1859 June 11. Edwin A. Rouse born to Michael Rouse and Amanda Daniels of Pendleton County. This entry shows at the top of the page of the Birth Register. Edwin has an entry in FamilySearch and also in FindaGrave that states he married Anna R. Behymer and lived until 17 April 1922. He does not show in census entries for Michael and Amanda or in my own family records. FamilySearch shows him in the family of Alfred Carter Rouse and Susan Catherine DeMoss, who live nearby in 1860 and show Edwin A. as 1 year old. Yet the Birth Register image reflects that his parents are Michael Rouse and Amanda Daniel---in error.
