6 July 1756 Wife Sarah appt. administrator of intestate estate. Inventory 31 May 1756. The estate was divided: Sarah (widow's thirds); oldest son George received his share during his life; youngest son John (a minor upwards of 14, chose Peleg Delano as guardian); Mary Rouse and Margaret Rouse. Widow Sarah gave an accounting Nov 1757.[1]

"John was also the father of children George, Margaret, and Mary who are assumed to be from his first marriage (based on marriage dates), although there are no birth records to confirm this."[2]
