Biography
Marie Rose was born on October 7 and was baptized on October 8, 1760 at Saint-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, Canada, Nouvelle-France.[1]
She was the daughter of Jean-Baptiste Rousseau and Françoise Destroismaisons.
She married first husband Jean Baptiste Grenier, widower of Marie Catherine Giroux and son of Charles Garnier and Madeleine Tardif, on April 7, 1777 at Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, Province de Québec.[2]. There were three known children born into this marriage.
Rosalie married second husband Joseph Marcoux, son of Joseph Marcoux and Louise Genevieve Laurent, on June 3, 1788 at Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, Province de Québec.[3]. There were six known children born into this marriage.
She died on June 2, 1827 at the age of 68 years, and was buried on two days later on June 4 at Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, Bas-Canada.[4]
