Biography
Françoise Rousseau was a Canadian First Peoples .
Françoise Rousseau was born in 1720 in Pabos, Canada, Nouvelle-France, daughter of Jean Rousseau (<1690– ) and Madeleine Angelique Unknown (~1698–>1786).
Françoise (9) married Pierre Le Vicaire (14) (born about 1715 in Haut-Maînil (Pas-de-Calais) France) in 1730. Their children were:
- Marie LeVicaire (1745–<1794)
- Alexis LeVicaire (~1747–1803)
- Marie-Anne LeVicaire (1752–1827)
- Thomas Joseph LeVicaire (1754– )
- Eustache Vicaire (1763–1851)
- Louise Vicaire (<1777– )
Françoise died after 1785 in Bas-Caraquet, Gloucester, Nouveau-Brunswick, aged about 64.
Research Notes
The husband François Boulay was removed, because she remarried with another Francois, for these reasons:
- Francois Boulay was married twice, the first with Marie Genevieve Morin in 1758, the second with Marie Josephe Rousseau in 1766. On Francois' burial certificate of 1805, it is written: "during his lifetime husband of Marie Josephe Rousseau". Marie Josephe Rousseau died in 1808.
In conclusion, if during his lifetime in 1805, he was the husband of Marie Josephe Rousseau whom he married in 1766, then it is impossible that it was this Francois who married Francoise Rousseau.
