Adam wrote his will on 29 October 1825; it was probated on 5 June 1827. The will names wife Catherine; children George, Benjamin (who had died shortly before the will was written), Adam, Lewis, Jacob, Elizabeth wife of Henry Bowlus, Catherine wife of John Doub, Henry, and Daniel. It mentions land tract "Adam's Experience". Lewis was named executor, and the witnesses were Jacob Neff, Philip Coblentz, and Daniel Shoemaker.[1]

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Adam by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
