Biography
Birth year assumes he was at least 18 when his daughter, Josephine, was born in her estimated birth year of 1848. Her birth year is based on her marriage record saying that she was 18 in 1866.
His last name may be similar to Roux. It has been difficult to find sources that agree on the spelling of Josephine's last name.
