Ek gebruik GENI baie keer ook as leidraad, maar alleen as leidraad. Miskien was haar van ook gespel "van Wijk". Soos in https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Van_Wijk-466 en https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Van_Wyck-104 (wat 'n seun gehad het https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Van_Wyk-422 - dit lyk asof daar baie onderling troues plaasgevind het, en ons sukkel nog om al die enorme hoeveelhede Van Wyks (verkeerd gespel - elke nuwe SA WikiTree lid met Van Wyk bloed maak nuwe lyne aan). Dus - dit is goed om te onthou - sterftekennisse is 'n waardevolle bron van informasie, maar dit moet jy saam gebruik met ander primêre bronne soos dooprekords en trourekords.
