Biography
Polly Row was born to John and Mary Row, April 22, 1773, in Windsor [1], in an area claimed by the Province of New York. This region would become the Republic of Vermont in 1777. [2][3]
Polly/Mary married Jabez Holmes Hammond about 1796, at the age of 21. [4]
Buried at Sheddsville Cemetery, Sheddsville, Windsor County, Vermont, USA. Her gravesite refers to her as "Polly". Date on gravestone is August 31, not August 30th, as it mentions in the book.[5]

Michael Hammond
On her marriage certificate to her husband, Jabez Holmes Hammond, the name of the bride is indicated as 'Polly Row', and Polly (according to Wikitree genealogist S. Hill) is another name for Mary, which might be what her husband started calling her, before they married (speculation).
