Research Notes

A marriage license for Edward Roe and Eliza Tanner was issued on 15 Feb 1837 in Camden County, Georgia. There is no evidence on the images to indicate the date the marriage occurred, although it is presumed to have been before 4 July 1837 when the license would have expired. There is writing on the back of the license may contain the information but it was not included on the film. The license was recorded, along with several others issued to Mr Alex Kean, a magistrate for said State, in the Camden County, Marriage Record Book B, 1831-1880 on page 36 on 2 June 1937.
