Biography

William B. Rowe and family moved to Silver Creek, Harper, Kansas sometime prior to 1904 (son Earl was born in Kansas). The interesting connection to Harper, Kansas is the fact that his sister, Margaret (Rowe) Beebe, had moved to Derby, Sedgewick, Kansas between 1897 and 1899 and she had died there in 1899, but her husband Wilbur and their children remained as residents of Derby until about 1915. It is also interesting to note Chris and Christina Miller, who had previously lived in LaSalle County, Illinois near the Rowe family were also residents of Silver Creek Township Harper Kansas. It seems exceedingly likely that marriage between Robert Beebe, son of Wilbur Beebe and Margaret (Rowe) Beebe and Margaret Miller, daughter of Christ and Christiana Miller was a direct result of the proximity of the Chris Miller family to William Briggs Rowe and family.
