The Gadsden Times, Gadsden, Alabama - Saturday, August 18, 1962, page 2: Mrs. Marie Jeanette Beverly, 77, Rainbow Drive, died yesterday at a local hospital after an extended illness. Funeral service tomorrow 2 p.m. Rainbow City First Baptist Church and burial in Forrest Cemetery. Surviving husband, Roscoe Beverly; one daughter, Doralee Sexton, Ft. Payne; one son, H.T. Rowell, Talladega; one brother, C.C. Rowell, Mt. Vernon; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was a native of Vossburg, Mississippi and a resident of Gadsden since 1916. She was a member of Rainbow City First Baptist Church. Collier-Butler Funeral Home directing.
