Benjamin Franklin Rowland was born in 1838 and passed away in 1914. He was the son of Richardson Rowland and Mary Neal.
He married Martha Ann Guess in Caldwell County, Kentucky on July 15, 1858. [1]
After the death of Martha Ann, Benjamin was unable to take care of their five children by himself, so he was forced to split them up to live with the families of his brother, Jesse Rowland, his sister Elizabeth Lane, and his nephew, George Lane. His son, Thomas, remained with him.

He was remarried on April 17, 1871 to Mary Ellen Adams, who was 19 years old, at the time. [2] Benjamin and Mary Ellen had children:

After Mary Ellen died in 1882, he was married for a third time to Mary Cordelia "Molly" Bleven on February 27, 1883. [3] Children:

During his lifetime, he worked as both a farmer and a carpenter in rural Caldwell County, Kentucky. He died at his home in the Flat Rock community on the night of October 22, 1914 of a stroke. He was buried the next day in Rowland Cemetery.
He passed away in 1914 and is buried in Rowland Cemetery, Flat Rock, Caldwell County, Kentucky. [4]
