Joshua Hadley & Mary Rowland both of New Garden appeared at this Meeting & signed their intentions of marriage to each other it being their first time therefore the Meeting appoints John Chambers & James Lindley to make enquiry into his conversation & clearing from all other women in relation to marriage & make report to the next Monthly Meeting.

New Garden Monthly Meeting at New Garden, 6th day of 6th month, 1725 [2]

Joshua Hadley & Mary Rowland appeared at this Meeting & signified they continued intentions of taking each other in marriage it being their second time the friends appointed to make enquiry has so done & has given an account that they find nothing but he is clear from all other women upon account of marriage & his conversation is orderly therefore this Meeting leaves them to their liberty to accomplish their marriage according to good order obliged among friends & appoints John Chambers & James Lindley to see orderly accomplishment thereof & to give an account to the next Monthly Meeting & to bring marriage certificate also.
